With Eleven contemporary young bulls he had the highest weight-muscle index of 121.9. The average IMF of all 11 young bulls was 3.02. “Jack Leads The Pack”. On the same date 18 heifers had an average IMF of 3.41 and an average REA/cwt of 1.21. We have been selecting and breeding for improvement in carcass traits in both our bulls and heifers for 15 years and the results are seen in our progeny.
